Let me start by saying Mike D and company have done a outstanding job in explaining and documenting assembly of the Gen3. As a guy that is about to embark on a conversion in the next week, for those that have done one already what is the most likely place for me to go astray and or where could the directions be a little more clear? The manual all looks good now, but then again I haven't started yet!
Thank God that we are light years ahead for documentation of the conversion to the Gen2 many years back!

A Follow up question to Bill's that I have would be if there was a "wish list" of potential improvements to do while you are installing the conversion kit "what else" would you consider doing?
Potential examples could be: 1) Full Frame up rebuild / Powder Coat the Frame 2) Full Trans rebuild / new gear? 3) Replace Data Acquisition 4) Add the Fuel cell Safety Plate 5) Update Suspension Looking for ideas from the community so nothing is too small / too large (expensive) |

A few “what else” examples:
• Check/rebuild the shocks • Dyno the springs (but don't replace yet since they might change) • Add Butler seat • Add Butler seat safety extensions • Replace front/rear body work to reduce weight • Add new light-weight wheels • Move the fire bottle to the right side of the car for balance • Rebuild master cylinders and calipers And things you have to do: • Add new in-tank fuel pump • Add new vented brake rotors DaveP |

Add flames to body work graphics.

Not a bad idea. A smart phone or tablet (waterproof) could be the instrument panel + data acquisition system of the future. PS: I'm doing shocks this year, and Gen 3 next year to "spread the pain" as much as possible. |

Steve, to fully utilize all of these accoutrements, I think you probably need someone behind you on the grid. <That just happened> ____________
