Now and then on a cold day i roll the GEN3 outside and let it set 4 or 5 hours and see if it will start and idle on it's own…Last cold start test was 21 deg and snow, started and idled just fine.

Great pic Mike and good info! Your pic reminds me of my first Fun One regional at the Glen when I came up to the track Sunday morning to find 3 inches of partly cloudy on my car! :o
Good to here the system is robust enough to start in that cold...

While we didn't have the adventure of snow, we did run the Gen3 at the 25 Hour of Thunderhill last year in similar temperatures (had a hard time getting the water temp up, though.) In case you missed the sight and sound of night racing in 20 degree racing, here's a clip from the event One of the few times that extra pair of Nomex underwear came in handy (not much "radiant" heat!) http://youtu.be/HQAgNW0PXiw
