I pulled the data from my tire test sessions to give you some metrics. Note that not all these laps were at or near the limit (includes in/out laps), but it may offer some insight. Note that these were run within the recommended settings. These were all conducted at Thunderhill in cool temperatures.

Sessions: 16
Laps 136
Miles: 390

Best lap was in session 2 (low 1:57). Session 15 ran a mid 1:57.

At the conclusion, the RR tire was just corded, RF was near the limit (corded on a following session not included in the total above.) Both right side tires reached the limit on the outside edge (TH is dominantly a <LEFT> turn track.) 1-2/32 remaining on inner side of both left side tires.

It's very interesting to read all of the feedback so far. And Bob, (by the way, nice to meet you at the Glen last summer), did you rotate any of your tires side to side during those cycles? At least with the Goodyears, and if memory serves me, we used to rotate the Yokes too to get more even wear out of a set of tires. Thanks!

I did rotate them left/right for the last two sessions, but at that point the right side wear was too far gone. Performance was comparable in session 15, but the tread began separating in session 16 so times fell off about a second a lap. I assume if I had rotated sooner I could have gotten more sessions, though I can't attest to whether the tire performance would fall off prior to reaching the wear limit.

Thanks for all the reports, folks. They sound quite encouraging so far.

Now let's see how far these puppies can hold up with more frequent rotation, side to side. Anyone doing so, comments please!

Anybody rotating front to back? ;) That might get exciting!

No, but I recall going out for a session with rears on the right and fronts on the left in the Yoke days! Not quite the balance I was looking for going into the left hand T1 at Thunderhill

I have done that with the Goodyear. Hopefully it will be a lot less likely to make that mistake with the Hoosiers.

That happened to me once on my Sports Renault. Yup, that was a thrill.
