Just got back from Houston where we had the Labor Day triple race.
Saturday rain race on full wets. This was my first time on track on the wet tires, period - so just jumping in with no idea what to expect. I spun on the pace lap while adjusting brake bias per my mechanic's instructions (oops) and wound up at the back of the grid instead of where I qualified in the dry... which was probably for the best, as I clearly had no idea what the hell I was in for. By the end I had kind of gotten the hang of it. Sadly it was only 15 minutes instead of 25 due to the delays, I feel like I could have used the extra 10 minutes.

Sunday morning's race was completely dry. There was a big wreck early, triggered full course yellow then black and red flag, so wound up being a very short race as we restarted and only had 3 laps' worth of time left. Everyone involved in the crash is OK and in fact the mechanics got all the cars good to go for the afternoon race. I officially finished on the podium for my first official podium finish. Maybe after I get the SADEV, I can go get one that doesn't require a crash wiping out most of the fast guys via tows and penalties...

Sunday afternoon's race, it started raining while we were on the grid, but not enough to put us on the wet tires. There were a lot of spins, including one guy doing a 1080 back onto the track (I wasn't close enough to capture this on the film but you'll see a giant smear of grass all over the track at one point where he sprayed it everywhere)
