The SRF schedule is a more relaxed one this year, until Sunday that is. We are group 8 which means that we practice at 1:30 (30 minutes) on Friday and Qualify (25 minutes) at 11:10 on Saturday. Sunday is our busy day with the second Qualifying session at 9:15 (25 minutes) and our 13 lap race around 3:00. We are not the last group but are followed by GT-1, 2, etc., so spectators will hang around to watch the big dogs and be there for us. We may not be the fastest but we'll put on the best race and are placed where we are for just that reason.

Of note is that we are not racing just before lunch or at the end of the day because they no longer assume that it will take forever to clean up the track after we're done. It has been noticed that our group has been pretty clean in recent years so we are rewarded by being in a more normal position.

I am pleased to announce that this year we will be using a spec fuel again. Efforts are being made to work with the track and suppliers to trim the cost, although it is not and never has been under our control. We'll do the best we can. You will be able to see the entire schedule at www.junesprints.com later today.

I can taste the brats and roasted corn already - see you all at the June Sprints!!

Looking forward to my first June Sprints as well... I think I read somewhere way deep in the fine print that any bright Orange #20 spec racer ford is an official drafting car....meaning you MUST(mandatory) push or pull it....preferably push coming out of 14.....
