Recent changes to the schedule due to Pro-It cancelling their portion of the event, for lack of entries. Steel Cities has opted to change the schedule to 7 groups. Please note the groups changes listed below. This may effect what time you want to arrive at the track during the event. With this change to seven groups we had to shorten the Saturday Qualifying from 30 minutes to 25 minutes to make the schedule work for all competitors. Groups: Group 1- EP, FP, HP, GTL Group 2-SM, B-Spec Group 3 -GT1, GT2, GT3, T1, AS Group 4 - F5, FV, FF Group 5 – SRF, SRF3 Group 6 – FA, FB, FC, FE, P1, P2 Group 7 – T2, T3, T4, STU, STL AJ Anselm

Steel Cities would like to thank all of the Drivers, Crew, Family, Friends, and Workers, that attended the 65th Annual Cumberland Classic "Fire & Ice" Majors, held this past weekend at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Despite the name, this year's event was conducted with a minimum of fire and no ice. The weather was cool and dry both days, though the track was a bit damp as qualifying began on Sunday morning. As a result of this favorable weather and the newly-repaved North Track surface, new records were set in 20 classes on Saturday, 13 of which were broken on Sunday. Records were also set on Sunday in 3 additional classes. Steel Cities would like to congratulate the following class record holders:
GTL: 1:55.177 - Kyle Disque FP: 1:56.027 - Charlie Campbell EP: 1:56.863 - Greg Kasprzyk. HP: 2:04.479 – Eric Vickerman B-Spec: 2:08.588 –David Daughtery SM: 2:01.427- Michael Novak GT1: 1:41.738 - Ryan McManus GT2: 1:45.433 - Andrew Aquilante GT3: 1:53.068 - Paul Young T1: 1:49.206 – Chris Durbin AS: 1:54.705 - Drew Cattell. Great track and a great facility. Given the sheer number of Majors events, this one does not seem to get the turnout that others get, but it really should. It's a great track for the SRF/3 (all about the flow) and a modern facility.
Here's a video to give a sense of the track. We had a classic mid-pack, five-car battle over 6-7-8-9-10th place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi6__zzzGpw |

As Greg said, it's a great track and facility. The track is a lot of fun and the hospitality was first rate. Saturday night dinner was great Italian food; my crew took full advantage of that.
The restrooms were the best I'd seen at a track. The paddock is large and flat. My friends and family that came to watch on Saturday could see about half the track from "Spectator Hill." I had some bad luck in both my races, but still had a blast. I was really impressed and plan to return again. Kurt Breitinger
