Agree 10000000%. SRF is approaching 50 already, that is a crowded track, throw in speed disparity of Gen3s, what a mess.

In SRF3 I would rather have a 15 minute session with 45 cars than a 30 minute session with 72. With clear track buckle down and put in a fast lap, it is the Runoffs after all. Hell I am down for the Go Kart days, 5-6 guys spread out on the track and you get 1 lap. I know that will never happen though :D

It looks like you've got a ready made drafting partner, Denny :D .

Jim, timing of entrance was nothing more than a race for car number. Qualifying is based on the published criteria. CoTA in 2013 was the last time I saw a race to register being critical to whether or not you could attend.

Looks like the plan of combining some Gen3's with SRF for qualifying will not work. As of this morning, there were 99 Gen3's and 49 SRF's entered for a total of 148 across the two groups. With a strict limit of 72 cars on track per session, the Gen3 and SRF qualifying sessions can only accommodate 144.

Best case, they split Gen3 into odd/even groups or top/bottom of points and leave Gen2 alone. It seems like there is enough time to add another group daily. Current schedule is 17 20-minute sessions with 5 minutes between and an hour for lunch... that leaves an hour of slack for a 5pm end of day.

Just remember that the Miata race is oversubscribed as well with 92 entrants. Just sayin.

Yeah, just like that NASCAR crash fest yesterday. Those wimps had to have a perfectly dry track and they still couldn't keep from crashing. Having double file race starts didn't help matters.

Think they'll give us like 6 restarts to try and get a green flag finish?
