Curious on your switch from the old (longer?) style to the new one. Safety or entry/exit issues or both? Is the padding different?

Since there is no "catalog" of parts we can look up, experienced input would be appreciated.

Changed mine due to camera placement mostly- I am not wide so getting in and out was not so much of a problem but any restrictions are not as safe. A removable steering wheel should be required in my opinion in any race vehicle.
