2017 - Things to be Thankful For
Posted: Sun Dec 24, 2017 1:00 pmI wanted to thank Enterprises and SCCA for a great run of our Gen2 class, now history at the national level. I installed my Gen2 engine for the 1996 season and had 88 weekends on it and the tranny, unbelievable when compared to other classes! I have owned the same chassis since June, 1985 and look forward to reintroducing myself to my Gen3 after taking 2017 off from it so I could campaign a 2nd Gen2 for the Indy Runoffs. I hope that the Gen2 continues to attract intro drivers and owner/drivers that are very happy to compete at the regional level. It is still a great car to own and drive. A much better plan than what was given to our Sports Renault.
Speaking of Indy, thank you again SCCA for, in my opinion, a very successful (dare I say Huuuuuge) Runoffs! I had not attended one since 1988 at Road Atlanta, where I had a blast in our Sports Renault, and this one superseded all my expectations! It was and will remain one of the most memorable times in our class of racing...
