Peter was just released from the hospital in Neenah, WI and is in an ambulance headed south for Downers Grove, IL where he will be admitted to his orthopedic rehabilitation facility. He had a very good weekend and continues to gain strength. Doctors are optimistic about his rate of recovery. Once he has landed at his new facility and I have all the details I will pass along as this will be his new home for the next three weeks. I will be headed out after the 4th of July to help my Dad and hopefully be there for Peter's return to his house.

Buttonwillow this weekend! Hope we can win one for Peter.

The trip to the rehab facility went smoothly yesterday afternoon. We arrived at approximately 4:00pm. Just finished my first session of therapy this morning. A good start, but still have a long trek in front of me.

Thanks again for all the support.

Keep plugging away Peter, a long road road ahead of you, but keep your eye on the prize. Your story will surely be an inspiration to us all! Keep the updates coming, please!

My first full day of therapy was tiring but productive yesterday. Spent about an hour working on the flexibility of my legs and another hour on upper body strength. A long road ahead, but I am very grateful for the support that all of you have provided. My goal at this point is to try and make it to CAT National in July to watch my brother race and visit with everyone.

The advances in physical therapy techniques over the last decades have been remarkable, which is a subject I'm sure Dr. Bruce Meyers can add to. Everyone I know who has gone through it says it's often arduous, but effective.

Keep it up, Peter!
