Hi- I am curious what everyone is using for a quick release steering wheel hub and if there are any recommendations on brands/types to stay away from? Looks like I might need one after installing the Butler seat.

Also, is it just a matter of welding the spline to the end of the current steering shaft?

Thanks,
Steve

I just went through this, tried 4 different wheels and ended up with:

https://www.getnrg.com/products/quick-release/gen-2.8 No slop and less expensive than many of the others. Drilled holes to match current steering shaft end plate. Uses standard 6x70 momo/sparco/omp pattern for wheel.

Wheel fits great and bolts directly to the quick release.

That steering wheel looks great. It comes "complete with horn button." I can think of some situations where that might come in handy. :D

Just remember it needs to have a 5/8 weld on hub. You cut your shaft and weld the hub to it. Shaft is 5/8 of a inch.
