Hi- I am curious what everyone is using for a quick release steering wheel hub and if there are any recommendations on brands/types to stay away from? Looks like I might need one after installing the Butler seat.
Also, is it just a matter of welding the spline to the end of the current steering shaft?
Thanks,
Steve
What type of quick release steering wheel hub do you use?

Longacre splined part number 56610.

I just went through this, tried 4 different wheels and ended up with:
https://www.getnrg.com/products/quick-release/gen-2.8 No slop and less expensive than many of the others. Drilled holes to match current steering shaft end plate. Uses standard 6x70 momo/sparco/omp pattern for wheel. http://www.ompamerica.com/product_info. ... cts_id/403 Wheel fits great and bolts directly to the quick release. |

That steering wheel looks great. It comes "complete with horn button." I can think of some situations where that might come in handy.

Just remember it needs to have a 5/8 weld on hub. You cut your shaft and weld the hub to it. Shaft is 5/8 of a inch.
