Just curious where people have put them. Most i've seen off the back of the rollbar I think, but the previous system in my car had an antenna on the center section left side.

I mounted mine on the tallman bar because I wanted to get it as high as I could and for unobstructed reception. Most I have seen are mounted on the original bar. I think they mount low so as not to interfere with any car cover you may use. I solved that with a reinforce hole to go over the antenna. Any bodywork mount will require a quick disconnect so you can remove the piece and a metal ground plane to make work (I'll let the EE's explain that.)

I've tried both locations and found that I have more range with the antenna mounted on the center section left side with a large copper ground plane.
