lights for night racing

I am going to an event that has a night session. I have 2 KC style lights left over from when I thought I was going to be a 4x4 off-roader. They are each100 watts. I was going to mount them on the roll bar, one at each side. Will that work?
How far down the track do I aim them?
Anything else I need to know for my first night session? This one is 20 minutes and part of an all-day event.

thanks

A broad beam is more important than a long one. You need to be able to see "around" the corners. Also make sure your alternator can handle them.

Read the Supps carefully, "mounted below the plane of the dash" is often a requirement.

Anyone who wants to experience racing " under the lights" should consider the " Daylight into Darkness" event at Charlotte Motor Speedway August 18-19. What a hoot!
