My alternator light is toast and having trouble locating a replacement. Is it just a light and can be replaced by any standard led dash bulb or is there something else going on with it that needs something specialized?

you can use any kind of 12 volt light. I go with the bigger type like the ones that come with temp sensor. Gen3 driver needs to know this just in case it throws a belt. No water pump and will over heat quick. Look at Longacre temp lights thru summit, jegs or any speed shop. Splice it into same wires. Just make sure it is not a wire or alternator problem. I have voltage regulators charge but not light. Also had wire problems. Brown wire on bottom. Yellow on top.
