The end of the throttle cable at the Mass Air Flow sensor is frayed and most of the strands are broken. Does anyone know how to repair this. I could possibly shorten the cable but not sure if that is possible. I found this when doing the Gen 3 conversion and the motor is not in the car yet so I can not measure too much right now. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it.
Thanks

There is a new cable available for the Gen 3 that's substantially shorter than the current cable. I'd recommend buying that one rather than attempting to fix an old cable. That said, I would also recommend adding a throttle return spring at the pedal as I had some issues with binding on the new cable (assume it will take a bit of time to break in but don't need any more surprises with an open throttle under braking!)
