Steel vs. Phenolic caliper pistons

I'm curious, with the move to the vented rotors and the associated temperature reductions is it worth considering phenolic pistons for the unsprung weight advantage? I thought the high brake temperatures was the limiting factor for the phenolic. When I last rebuilt my calipers I was surprised at the weight of the steel piston. Does the strength / durability offset the weight disadvantage?

This may fall under the category of "I already knew that..." but the Mumm Brothers had some pretty specific things to say about the caliper pistons back before the vented rotors came into play. Old advice, but maybe of some use in your decision?
