Rear Caster

How are most measuring rear caster?

Searched and everyone seems to talk about the front but not rear. Installed a new lower control arm on the right rear and want to make sure everything is as it should be.

Want to make sure I don't have to many threads showing on the clevis bolt. Does the heim joint rule apply to it as well?

Have used a caster gauge on the upper ball joint bracket. You need to make sure it is straight and try to do it near the upright arms. There is a picture here:

Since the rears don't steer, I think the actual measurement is less important than finding the position that gives you the appropriate bump steer adjustment range using the toe link shims.
