I bought NGK TR6 spark plugs (legal per GCR) for my Gen2 because I had trouble finding Motorcraft AGSF24AC’s from a reputable source. The NG TR6’s come gapped to 0.040” - is this the proper gap for the 1.9L Gen2’s?

I'm sure this has been long resolved but I recently found (using getliner.com, which is much better than ChatGPT) the following:

"⚙️ Spec Racer Ford Gen 2 Spark Plug Gap

For a Spec Racer Ford (SRF) Gen 2, a spark plug gap of 0.030 inches is generally recommended. This generation's engine, unlike the Gen 1, utilizes both direct injection (DI) and multi-port fuel injection (MPFI). DI is primarily used under heavy loads, which means the spark plug gap is not as critical as it is for Gen 1 engines that are direct injection only. For engines with high compression and high turbulence combustion chambers, a slightly wider gap of 0.035 inches is considered safe and recommended. NGK TR6 spark plugs are legal for the Gen 2."
