Anyone got contact info for the people who rebuild SRF steering racks? I think it is time for me to do it as part of my winter rebuild.

How does one tell when one's steering rack needs rebuilt? I would have thought that its "service interval" was on the same schedule as flushing the radiator. I once asked a fellow competitor, "how often should I flush the radiator?" After he stopped laughing, he said, "Don't worry, an SRF radiator is self-flushing." It didn't take me long to know what he meant.

Ed, I'd say when it develops play or some other negative trait. Other than that, I'm not sure there's a need to rebuild them unless you just want to avoid having it ever develop said play. :)

Ask John Walsh - I swear his steering wheel has about a half a turn slop in it. No wonder he is in administration :D

I kinda liked the "really sloppy on-center" rack...it made every corner REALLY exciting.

A +1 for Woodhaven on rack rebuilds....Terry is great and the service is fast and reasonably priced.
