I stumbled on to this and thought some of you might find it of interest. The video of the Junker machine proving that a helical spring lock washer is actually worse than a flat washer is pretty neat. Also, the description of how to use jam nuts is exactly the opposite of what's in Caroll Smith's book. I wonder which is correct? They both agree that Loctite is a reliable locking method.
