I'd forgotten about the safety clips, they are cool. I think the fittings we use are different from the original, which had press on hose ends, instead of the AN ones. I think the reason we don't have more problems with the springs is a lot of people just unscrew the hose end, so the springs don't get much action. I've worked on a couple where they had obviously never been disconnect from the fuel rail, with the springs rusty and the O rings bonding everything together...
