Question:

Is there a baseline torque/dyno chart for the gen3 out there somewhere? I don't mean a specific engine, I'm just looking for a torque/hp/rpm chart so that I can put together context-sensitive shift lights for my dash.

I think it is safe to say set the last light 100 rpms from the rev limit in all gears and go backwards from there.

This is what is in the Gen3 conversion manual:

Optimum operation ranges
HP peak: 6100 / 6300 rpm
Torque peak: 4900 / 5100 rpm (- 6 Ft-lb from peak range 2800 / 6100 rpm)
Lug limit:4000 / 4200 rpm
Rev limiter:6750 rpm

In my dyno tests, the HP peak appears to be well past the rev limiter (6,750). 100-150 rpm below the rev limiter will generally keep you off the rev limiter, which is desirable, since it takes about a 200 rpm drop to get off the rev limiter if it does kick in.

I set my first light at 6400 and my last two lights at 6650. Seems to be just enough to keep me off the rev limiter.
