A new modular nose is now available for your SpecRacer. This new design will allow the replacement of sections of the front end and simplify repairs. The modular nose is currently available in a 4 or 6 part configuration. The 6 part versions has a 2 part fender with a brake at the top of the fender. The current one-piece design will not be obsoleted. For details contact your CSR. Bruce Richardson http://www.accelracetek.com

Is it still fiberglass? I heard it might be some thermoplastic instead.

I’m no expert mind you, but from the pics shown, it’s all fiberglass... 8-)

I do not seem to be able to find a cost. Just to compare to the full nose. As a simple comment ... It took over 30 years to do this? I like it.

From the limited views of the nose, 4 piece version, looks like they could use my touch for strengthening and I’m sure repairs will be forthcoming 8-)

Bruce at Allracetech had a price list. A complete new modular nose was like $17xx. ( can't remember exact price )

I heard it's like $260 more than the standard nose but then you save something like close $100 on shipping.

Dang, I was hoping for something that would make taking the oversized nose off and on easy by yourself. And maybe a quick and easy way to remove the air dam to make loading easier.

Of course that surely would have required additional attachment points and maybe latches.
