For our grand finale MARRS 13 at Summit Point on Oct 4 and 5, the DC Region is holding bonus races for formula car classes. We already have a large number of entries and the Club Ford and Formula Ford group should put on a great show. There will be four formula car group races on Sunday.

In addition to that, a local club is putting on a Cars and Coffee event Sunday morning at the track, outside the paddock near the esses. Gates open at 7:30 on Sunday. All weekend, there are NO SPECTATOR FEES. Summit Point Motorsports Park is waiving all gate fees for the weekend. So if you've ever wanted to bring friends and show them what this silly hobby is all about, do it now.

Of course, Eric Kurzhals couldn't let a weekend go by without a special deal for SRF folk. The top 10 finishers in Sunday's race will be eligible for a prize of 4 new-style brake rotors. It's too far out for a forecast, but early October in the mid-Atlantic usually has great racing weather.
