Well, it is official. Peter took his first steps today with the aide of a walker! He did a total of 150' of walking before he had to call it. Although I am heading back to Camarillo tomorrow and will miss Peter and Dad. I am glad to see he is doing well and that he is in good hands. I might be able to come back out for his home coming, which he hopes to be by the end of this month at the latest. Regardless, we know he will be out to join us at the Run-Offs in September. Thanks again for all the kind words of encouragement and prayers. As Peter continues to say they have definitely helped!!!

Hi all. I am checking out of the rehab facility today and heading home. Will be taking it easy for a week or so, then try to get back to work on a regular basis after Labor Day. Once again, many thanks to all of you for the encouragement and prayers. I look forward to visiting with everyone at the RunOffs and getting back to racing next year.

Ahhh...to sleep in your own bed! That's got to significantly increase healing time. But inquiring minds want to know, did you set a new track record in your wheelchair at the rehab facility?!? :o

Joelle,
I did max out the electric wheelchair I had at 4.7mph :)

John,
I'll definitely drop by and say hi.
