Yep. A different kind of record..fastest self-induced wreck on an outlap. Not recorded but well remembered.

Wow Lee, nice job. Sorry for the late response, but have not been here for a while.

The glen is a fun spot because not only is the layout fun, the crazy weather there always brings with it new twists. Somehow i posted a lap in the 13.7 range last year during qualifying at the un-fun one. My good buddies Lehner and youngsman made sure I did not get close to that number again in the race.

Sounds like you guys had a great race.

Speaking of shortest races, I finally got around to editing the video from the qual race incident.

Another thing that saved you, Tom -- the roll bar side tube structure that prevented Swanny's car from bouncing into your cockpit. Whew. You did get a helluva start, though. I was right inside of you at the green flag and got balked while you checked out.

Then I got really lucky when my fuel pump relay failed heading up through the Esses on the first lap. When that shunt happened, I was driving back across the infield -- totally pissed off -- after leaving the track at Turn Four to drive across the infield over to the pits to have my car, which re-started after driving off the track surface, looked at my the Motion Dynamics crew.

Denny -- Jeff Swann did tweak his wrist in the shunt. He whacked Roy Albertalli's car at nearly 70 MPH and his steering shaft snapped in two. Otherwise, all okay, thank God.

Those of us who missed that collision were very fortunate indeed! I was in the blue and white #81 who just missed Chris Pluta and unfortunately, Roy # 58 was right behind me and couldn't avoid hitting Chris. I didnt see any of the accident except what I caught in my rear view mirrors until this video was published. Very messy but glad everyone was OK except for several sprained wrists ( Jeff Swann and Roy). Hoping for a cleaner Fun One.
