Over the next three years I'll be sending kids to college, which means college tours! My kids are great students so they'll have a shot at getting into good schools.

So, if you were looking to combine racing events and college tours, what tracks are close to what colleges? Of course, as the college tuition mounts, racing will diminish.

I'll start:

Cornell, Colgate, Ithaca, Syracuse = Watkins Glen

Greg:

Grinning too wide when I read this.

My daughter is a junior in high school this year and we will be taking the same tour to Cornell, but will also add Rice and Texas A&M(Circuit of The Americas), Duke (Carolina Motorsports Park), Vanderbilt (Road Atlanta).

I thought Skidmore was a driving school, but it turns out to be a college. Who knew ?!?! Rob Reed lives in Saratoga Springs, doesn't he ? It's a short trip to Lime Rock, which is also within striking distance of a bunch of "Ivys" - Yale, Harvard, Brown, etc. Dartmouth is in Cow Hampshire, as is the eponymous (love that word) NHIS.

In the category of "NY colleges with lakefront campuses near a big fast race track" - Hobart-William Smith (Seneca Lake) and Keuka College (Keuka Lake).
