My last SRF had a Butler seat and I used Schroth formula belts- the one with the D ring sewn into the lap belts. The anti-Sub belts routed through the D-ring and looped thru the shoulder belt at the cam lock center.

In my new car I am installing a Butler Seat and I am wondering if I should be using the new style Schroth belts where the anti-sub belts hook directly to the cam lock. Also with the new Butler seat I have the 6 point modification where the sub belts bolt to the bottom of the seat. I was thinking that the end fitting on the sub-belt should be sewn in so I am not sitting on the adjusting slide part.

Anyone got experience to help me out on this?

Take a look at the Schroth web site to see the examples

My preference are these: http://www.schrothracing.com/competitio ... /profi-III

Now on my 3rd set (just installed) and happy with the 2" lap and hybrid HANS shoulder harness. Did need to do some modifications to the seat so that I got the sub belts in the proper location, and used bolt-in fittings on the sub and lap belts, wrap-around on the shoulder harnesses. I shortened the sub belts as much as possible so the adjuster is below the thigh. I posted up a few photos a while back that show a bit more detail on how I mounted the sub-belts and overall installation including seat mods at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bobsrf/set ... 518897029/
