I have a question that I have been pondering for a while. For those of us with Weld wheels and their notorious runout is really any more or less accurate to measure toe on the sidewall of the tire or the rim? I have cross checked mine a few times and the difference isn't noticeable as long as you stay off of the raised letters on the sidewall, at least in my experience. Your thoughts, please.

Bill,
Seems like if you were to use this "quick" technique it would eliminate the run out issue?
BTW - roll it forward, not backward, because if there's any slop in the suspension linkages, you want the toe optimized for the way the suspension slops going forward. (alignment becomes less of an importance to most of us, when we're going backwards)

H.('cause that's how I roll)B.
